Who I Am
My Story, It All Started with an Article
Early in my work life, I read an article “Say Goodbye to 9 to 5” It was an article about a new way of providing help and support to others called virtual assistance, it a story of someone providing support services from their home office to other professionals using the internet. I thought, someday I want to be able to work from home doing that.
Like others who start their own business, I dreamed of the freedom and flexibility of being able to control my own life, schedule, and who I work with. After 30 years of working for others in the corporate world, I knew it was time. Like others before me, experiences like having a boss that was a bully, working 12 hours days and feeling like I was on call 24/7, combined with a relative needing more and more help, led me to the decision… it was time for me to leave the corporate world and start my own Virtual Assistant business.
A Little More about Me. My Skills, Talents, and Experiences
I have always supported multiple people at the same time, as a secretary, specialist, supervisor and Executive Assistant. I am experienced in managing and organizing projects, people, and events, all at the same time! I have used my skills as an employee, a business owner, and even as a mom with my son’s racing team.
I thrive on finding unique solutions to traditional (and not-so-traditional) problems. I bring a fresh perspective to situations, and add a sense of calm and control to every project. I continuously invest my time in learning a new process, programs and applications. This allows me to come with fresh perspectives and ideas. What I really love is when I find a better and more efficient way to do a task and being able to share that with my clients.
My superpower is being able to look at the big picture and find a way to streamline the process, and then execute the plan.
I also have the patience to be able to teach and walk others through a process or program – no matter how complicated it is.
I don’t claim to have all the answers, there is always something more to learn in the online business world. What I can promise is, if I don’t have the answer, I will tell you, and I will work to find the answer you need or connect you with people who can help.
What I Believe
Trust and respect are at the heart of any successful business relationship.
Business owners don’t have to do it all alone.
In building your dreams, whatever they might be.
